Hollard legal cover is South Africa’s largest privately-owned insurance group and it offers legal services to private and business clients. It offers legal plans that protect the policyholder against various legal matters for a minimal monthly cost.

Examples of criminal, civil and labour matters include the following:

Hollard legal cover offers five levels of cover as well as access to various benefits. Legal insurance packages are as follows:

  • R120 per month – R120000 legal cover
  • R130 per month – R150000 legal cover
  • R150 per month – R200000 legal cover
  • R50 per month – R60 000 legal cover/funeral plan combo
  • R60 per month – R70 000 legal cover/funeral plan combo

 

Hollard’s legal plans (excluding the funeral combo plans) offer the following additional benefits:

  • Assistance drawing up ante-nuptial contracts
  • Assistance drafting a will
  • Legal advice for uncontested divorce
  • 60% discount on debt counselling fees
  • 60% discount on attorney fees for property tariffs when buying or selling a home

So the cover on all plans is extended for the policyholder, their partner and children (no extended family)

Also, legal costs have coverage after a waiting period of three months from the start of the policy (or any new policy).
